Donald Lee Silvey, 78, of Trimble, MO passed away, August 5, 2023.

He was born on October 28, 1944 to Wesley and Jessie (Walker) Silvey in St. Joseph, MO. He grew up in the Trimble and Gower areas and graduated from Gower High School.

On January 22, 1965 he was united in marriage to Sheryl Ann Griggs. After their marriage they lived in St. Joseph, Belton, MO and in 1990 they moved to Trimble where they made their home.

Don was a forklift operator for Armour Food Company for over 40 years. After his retirement he was a janitor for the East Buchanan School District and volunteered at the Senior Center in Gower.

He was an active member of the Gower Baptist Church.

Don was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Debbie Silvey; his son Ronald Silvey.

He is survived by his wife, Sheryl; son, Mike Silvey and wife, Susan; granddaughter, Jessica Bowers and husband, Chuck; great-grandson, Wes; sisters, Dorothy Mae Schuster, Shirley Gilchrist, Connie Smith; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Memorial Service: 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 9th at the First Baptist Church in Gower with visitation one hour prior.
