Janette Perkins

Janette Lee Perkins, 86, of Leavenworth, KS, formerly of Camden Point, MO passed away February 20, 2024.

She was born on February 3, 1938, to Howe and Lydia (Hensley) Shanks near Dearborn where she grew up and attended school in Platte County.

On September 1, 1956, she was united in marriage to Arthur H. Perkins. After their marriage they lived in Leavenworth, in 1961 they moved to Camden Point, and in 1990 they returned to Leavenworth. Arthur passed away on April 16, 2014.

Janette worked as a cook for North Platte High School and Heritage Village in Platte City for many years. She also cooked meals for the tobacco help and loved cooking meals on Wednesdays for the church. 

She enjoyed spending time with her family, children and grand and great-grandchildren.

Janette is survived by her children Arthur Lee Perkins and wife Debbie, Penny Colombo and husband James, Mark Perkins, and Susan Agesen and husband Jon; grandchildren, Arthur Lee, Jr., P.J., Jamie, Michelle, James, Tiffany, Danielle, Rylee, Brittany, and Aaron; twenty-two great-grandchildren; sisters Edna Salkowski and Marjorie Mundt; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Graveside Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 24th at Camden Point Cemetery, Camden Point, MO.
