Lenora Molder

Lenora Molder, 83, of Kansas City, MO passed away, June 12, 2021.

She was born on June 19, 1937 to Carrel Winifred and Martha Ellen (Thompson) Harmer in Edgerton, MO. She grew up in Edgerton and graduated from Ruskin High School in Kansas City.

Lenora met her husband, Sherman Wayne Molder at her friend’s house playing dominos. 

 On July 2, 1955 they were united in marriage at the home of Minister Elton Rice in Paradise, MO. Wayne and Lenora lived in Kansas City, MO where they made their home. Her husband, Wayne, passed away, January 9, 2017.

Lenora volunteered with Tom’s Mission in Kansas City for several years. She attended North Cross Methodist Church.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; brother, Billy Harmer and Boley Harmer; sisters, Ruth Ann Fuller Charlotte King and Joyce Kissick; two infant grandchildren, and one great-great-grandaughter, A’Maya Carroll.

Lenora is survived by five daughters, Toni (Carl) Ward, Terry (John) Stewart, Susie (Chuck) Ford, Mary Shurtz; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; brother, Robert Harmer; sister, Mary (George) Gieringer; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Services: 1:00 p.m. Friday, June 18th at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Edgerton, with visitation from 11:30-1:00 p.m. a.m. prior to the service.

Burial: Ridgely Cemetery

Arrangements, Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Edgerton.

Due to family health issues, no fresh flowers. The family suggests donations to St. Luke’s Hospice, Shelter KC, American Cancer Society or North Cross Methodist Church.
