Ricky Lee Rawlings, 71 of Weatherby, MO passed away January 13, 2024. 

He was born on December 19, 1952, to Earl Charles and Nellie Wray (Buckler) Rawlings in Smithville, MO.  Ricky grew up in Camden Point on the family tobacco farm with his 8 siblings and graduated from North Platte High School in 1970.   

In 1984 he was united in marriage to Susan Smith.  They made their home in Dearborn, MO.  In 2017 they moved to Weatherby, MO.   

Ricky worked for Sprint where he was a lineman and retired as a project manager after 31 years of service.  He later ran his own company, Charisma Systems.  He enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting, camping, telling stories, bloody mary’s, going to his sons’ sporting events, dogs, traveling, cars, cooking, tinkering, technology and always up for a good challenge. 

He was preceded in death by his parents Earl and Nellie Rawlings; and five brothers Charlie, Jerry, Garry, Roger and Stephen. 

Ricky is survived by his wife Susan Rawlings; sons Cory Rawlings and Trevor Rawlings and wife Katie; grandchildren Christian, Austin and Daniel Bates; brother Alton Rawlings; sisters Joyce Snyder and Viginia Woodward and husband Steve; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.   

Military Honors 6:00 p.m. with Celebration of Life Visitation following until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, January 18th at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville, MO.
