Ronald Allen Smith, 62 of Kansas City, MO passed away March 10, 2024.

He was born on September 17, 1961, in Omaha, NE. Ron grew up in Parkville, MO and graduated from Parkhill High School in 1980. He played football and was an art major at Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph, MO. 

Ron worked in concrete construction and was on several projects in the Kansas City area including the Lake Lenexa Dam, the Legend’s and the restoration projects for the Interurban. He officially retired to pursue his passion in art. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and all aspect of photography. 

He was preceded in death by his mother Mary Jo A. Smith and his brother Kenneth Bradley.

Ron is survived by his father Richard Smith; his sister Shelly (Ken) Biggs; his brothers Mark Smith and Richard Smith; his aunt and uncle Jerry and Robert Brand; his cousin Bruce Brand; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Celebration of Life Visitation will be held Friday, May 17th from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home in Smithville.
