We were next door neighbors to Tony and Sue around 1972 in Harvester, MO. We both had our children during those years and became good friends. We moved to Texas in 1979 but we never lost touch with each other even though it was through Xmas cards and then later Facebook. Sue did come and visit us in Texas once and it was a really nice surprise. Tony was a wonderful man, and his presence will be missed by all those who knew and loved him. God Rest His Soul.

I am so sorry to hear about Tony. One of my earliest memories is of being really little and sick. He came to see me and gave me extra covers when I told him I was cold. He was always kind to me. I will miss hearing him and John L. laugh.

Tony came to Kansas City as the SAC of the new Kansas City region of OIG-OI in 2000, and by a stroke of luck I got a job there. Tony’s strong leadership, work ethic and high expectations had an immense influence on the staff and set the stage for a longstanding successful office. His influence can’t be overstated. Great boss that he was, he was also the most fun over beers after work, and the first one to pitch in to help anyone in need of a hand. Tony shared his joy in his family with all those around him-he was the most devoted husband, dad and grandfather ever. I’m so sad to hear of his passing, but he will live on in the memories of all of us who were fortunate to work with him. He’ll be greatly missed.

We were all saddened to hear about the loss of Tony. Tony played a significant role in my career as both a mentor and a friend. I was fortunate to work for Tony when he was an Assistant Special Agent in Charge, Special Agent in Charge, and as an Assistant Inspector General for Investigations. Not only did I learn a lot from Tony, but most importantly, we shared a lot of laughs together. I had the utmost respect for him, and he will be deeply missed.

In 2000, Tony hired me as a special agent with the HHS Office of Inspector General, Office of Investigations. Tony played a significant role in the early days of my career as a solid leader and game changer in our organization. Tony worked his way up in or organization from a special agent to an Assistant Special Agent in Charge, to Special Agent in Charge, and as an Assistant Inspector General for Investigations. His leadership was obvious and his impact on our work equally as obvious. Tony cared about the people he lead and they cared about him and his mission focus. It is sad to see Tony pass, but his health struggles are now behind him and his family and friends are left with the wonderful memories of his life, his laughter, and his friendship. Tony's legacy will live on for the generations to come. RIP Tony, you will be missed.
